Windvane Naming Contest!!!
Our friend Malcolm Wilkinson helped out with a number of tasks, including installing the windvane. This contraption will actually steer the boat for us on a course set relative to the wind. Its technical name is a servo-pendulum self-steering gear. Ours is a Jean de Sud model by Cape Horn, which are made in Oka, Quebec. Most people name theirs as this is the single most important piece of gear on an offshore boat. Any suggestions would be considered (use the comment feature below).
